Oh my gawd! This was such a cute story! I did not go into this game with super-high hopes, however, coming out at the other end, I can say that this is one of my favorite VNs ever.

The art is absolutely beautiful. The voice acting is spot on (there were a couple of weird line readings, where the emphasis was placed on the wrong word, in context, but overall it's great). The soundtrack is fitting. The story, while not groundbreaking is very enjoyable and it did deliver some emotional moments. The writing is actually good and believable (however for a while, I was a bit confused by the time skips, especially during the 2 festivals, as except for the title screens there are no strong visual cues to show if you're in the past or present). But it was the characters that got me emotionally invested. Both the protagonists as well as the supporting cast are just so damn likeable!

And while there's nothing groundbreaking, or inovative here, everything is expertly done, meshes well together, it has a whole lotta heart in it and that makes me cherish the time I've spent reading this.

It's a quite typical short romance story of two very different girls meeting each other and working through their differences. What I liked is the characterization and fluid writing, bolstered by some nice illustrations and occasional animations, but everything else is serviceable at best.

There's barely any world building, the time jumps every chapter is disorienting for the better half of the narration, and the choices have no immediate feedback.

Voice-over is generally good, but has some moments that bring it down a bit to mixed results, but that's largely a preference choice, I think.

On the technical note, there's no keyboard or gamepad navigation, so it's a bit painful to play on Steam Deck (plus, the sound options do not work properly there, so voice over is always drawning in the BGM), but it runs very well otherwise.
